The purpose of the Industrial Development Board is to purchase, sell, lease, finance, and dispose of properties in an effort to encourage new businesses to relocate to the area and help existing businesses expand, all in accordance with the Tennessee Industrial Development Corporation Act.
Recent momentum includes the Sinova Global silicon metal facility taking shape in Tiptonville, a project expected to bring hundreds of construction jobs and around 140 permanent positions once complete. The board continues to work alongside county leadership to keep that kind of growth coming.
